When Kenneth Dean Powell was born on October 4, 1948, in Carroll, Arkansas, his father, James Truman Powell, was 34 and his mother, Julia Frances Rudd Powell, was 32. He had three brothers and one sister. He died on February 3, 2018, in Springfield, Missouri at the age of 69.

KENNETH DEAN POWELL, of Bolivar, Missouri was born October
4, 1948 in Denver, Arkansas, son of Truman and Francis (Rudd) Powell. He
departed this life Saturday, February 3, 2018 in Bolivar, Missouri, at the age
of 69 years.
Kenny loved playing board games, especially checkers. His family and close friends were very important to him and he will be missed by all.
He is survived by four siblings, brother, Jimmy Powell and wife, Stella of Springfield, Missouri; brother Donnie Powell and wife Mary Kathrine of Nashville, Arkansas; brother, Frankie Powell and wife, Sarah of Green Forest, Arkansas; sister, Virginia Montgomery of Ozark, Missouri; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, friends and loved ones.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Truman and Francis Powell and brother-in-law, Robert Montgomery.
Visitation will be 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Thursday, February 8, 2018 at the Nelson’s Green Forest Chapel, Green Forest, Arkansas. Funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m., Friday, February 9, 2018 at the Nelson’s Green Forest Chapel with Brother Frankie Powell officiating. Interment will follow the service in the Pickens Cemetery are under the direction of Nelson Funeral Service
