Thad's Smith line is a 67/67 yDNA match to mine. I'm descended from Andrew Smith, son of Robert Smith "of St. Mathew's Parish" in Orange Co, NC. Robert and old Nicholas Smith, Jeptha V. Smith's grandfather, were related some how.
I found Nicholas and William Smith, Jep's father, in the 1801 Jackson Co, GA census. My Smiths were in Lincoln and Woodford Co, KY at this time.
I'm trying to figure out who the John Smith was who was an associate of Duke Whalebone.
