John Charles Powell, 78, of Green Forest, died Thursday, March 3 (2016).Celebration of Life service will be at 10 a.m. Monday, March 7, at Smith Family Funeral Home in Green Forest. Interment will follow at Pickens Cemetery. Visitation will be 2-4 p.m. Sunday, March 6, at the funeral home.

The son of Jesse and Una (Coxsey) Powell was born April 9, 1937, at Green Forest. He was the father of Randall Powell and Cheryl Johnson.
