Who Am I

Or Taylor DNA Story

Well, we really do not know our Taylor DNA story.  One Steve Taylor has contacted us and tells us that GedMatch tells him we are related to his James Taylor (1620 - 1698). This James had a daughter named Sarah Taylor that married one Robert Powell (1669 - 1740) of Caroline County, Virginia.  We have seen many genealogy trees all over the net saying our Charles Powell the Elder is a son of this Robert Powell.  Our DNA seems to confirm that we are related to James Taylor.  Caroline County adjoins Stafford and Spotsylvania Counties where we found our Charles Powell

This is his reckoning of matching DNA for Sister Betty and Cousin Buster to his James Taylor and first wife France maybe Walker, and second wife Mary Gregory. [1 means 1st wife, 2 means 2nd wife].  We seem to match almost all these people to some degree.
